Job responsibilities:
1. Disassemble, test, and analyze competitive products, compare them with the company’s product platform, and identify key design features and emerging trends.
2. Based on product technology gap analysis and platform comparisons, carry out development activities such as product technical iterations and cost optimizations to enhance product competitiveness, ensuring all necessary technical preparations are in place before finalizing quotes for new customer projects.
3. Providing relevant technical support for quoting new products.
4. Based on the company’s cutting-edge technology development roadmap, independently conduct preliminary research on emerging technologies or collaborate with customers on pre-research initiatives, building a technical foundation to support the future integration of new customer platforms.
5. Regularly summarize the historical quality data of products and core components (including after-sales feedback, development change records, etc.), and as required, optimize the design of existing platform products while completing verification of platform updates/iterations.
6. Based on evolving automotive safety regulations (including NCAP, CIASI, and regulatory roadmaps for the next 3–5 years), analyze the technological gaps in existing product platforms and help formulate product development strategies.
7. Based on customer demands for product enhancements (such as new processes, advanced materials, improved aesthetics, and better NVH performance), as well as their expectations regarding price trends, collaborate with the team to develop a comprehensive product development strategy, informed by competitive analysis insights.
8. Tasks related to mentoring new employees.
Job requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, majoring in Vehicle Engineering or a mechanical-related field.
2. At least 8 years of work experience in product development within the automotive industry, with preference given to those with experience in passive safety component development.
Skills:
1. Possesses independent working ability and proactive initiative.
2. Possessing innovative thinking skills.
3. Proficiency in using product development tools, such as DFMEA, is essential.
4. Familiar with the DFSS development process.
5. Strong English skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese.
7. Proficient in computer operation and familiar with office software such as WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and PROJECT.
